Chef Kurt is an active member in the American Culinary Federation, winning over 30 medals in culinary competitions and several certifications, as well as presenting at regional and national conferences. He was voted Chef of the Year for the Detroit Chef De Cuisine Association in 2018 and in August of 2019, Chef Kurt was inducted into the American Academy of Chefs.
